Design and Fit

Another gen model has switched over from a silver-heavy detail palette to a more monochromatic charcoal color, giving these cans a sleeker and more striking finish than their predecessor. The earcups are constructed of lacquered stainless steel and show a stylish perforated design to facilitate the expansive acoustics that open back headphone wearers look for. The extendable yokes are manufactured from a brushed and anodised aluminum providing them with a good sheen and a smooth feel, once more highlighting Beyerdynamic’s unflagging dedication to only using the very best materials in it’s designs.
The earpads themselves are replaceable, and generally extremely comfortable. The material is once more soft black velour, and the pads feature multiple layers of cushioning, among which is foam that may gently form to the ear for a far more custom fit and maximum comfort. For true audiophiles buying complex and detailed headphone made out of real quality, and at an increased price, there’s isn’t much reason never to recommend the T1 gen 3. If you value the generation 2 model, but wish there is a bit more warmth and breadth to the sound, then this is unquestionably the purchase for you personally.
